It is 100kms from Hyderabad and makes it a ideal spot for a 1/2 day hike. We hike up the monolithic rock while going up which is a 2 hr hike. It makes it a good work out hike due to its altitude and inclination. At the top of the rock one can find the old fort ruins.
One can also come down by rappelling instead of hiking down.
