Hampi is the destroyed capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. Located amidst a beautiful setting of small hills such as Matunga and Rishyamuka, the river Tungabhadra flows ferociously through the town. Hampi is glorified by the patronage of its kings to art and architecture. We’ll be walking, also cycling/Mopads at a slow pace.

All about the Hampi.

Hampi with GoXp provides a unique experience of seeing the ancient ruins with a bit of fun.

Hampi is a place with a mix of old and new cultures. We glide through the old Hampi bazar with its old pavilions which one’s used to be a thriving market during the days of the Vijayanagara Empire, old temples with great architecture, passing through some beautiful fields, swimming in Tungabhadra river.

We relax at some beautifully made shacks in the old town with some great cuisine from both Indian to International.

Its also a shoppers paradise to buy various crafts, clothes, jewellery from the shamll shops spread around.

The trip gives a laid back feeling to which one can relax and enjoy the place.

No it is not mandatory. If not cycles we have Luna’s also available which one can choose from. But Hampi can be enjoyed most in Cycles so that is a best option to choose from.

Hampi is a hot place. So wear anything light which keeps you cool. Shorts/T-Shirts are also fine.

Have good shoes/Sandals to walk.

Sun cap and an umbrella is a must though.

We suggest participants to get gear based on the season. We suggest you go over the things to get section in the earlier tab.

Yes we love our young participants and Hampi is a good place for kinds to enjoy. But please make sure you keep an eye on them all the time. Organizers would be looking out to the whole group so might not be able to pay focused attention to the kids.

As Hampi is a temple town most of the food will be vegetarian and Indian. We will add some local south specialties.

An organizer will accompany the group at all times and also based on a trek a local will be with the group.

As we are in the town most of the places have public Toilets when we are out.

Hampi has low Mobile network points. BSNL works but not a great place for other carriers.

Though Wifi is available at all Home Stays, hotels. So internet is a way to stay connected there.

Though we suggest to keep the phones away and enjoy the place 🙂
